okay so we spoken about a couple of
different pinball manufacturers in our
other videos and a name that some people
have heard of and do asked about but
isin that corner isn't that common
really nowadays he's got leaves so
Gottlieb our most famous 44 their
electoral electromechanical pinball
machines which basically didn't have any
PCBs no computer chips inside them and
they really were the manufacturer back
then they were the rolls-royce they were
particularly well built reliable and
they made absolutely stacks and made
loads of money for pinball operators in
bars and the like back in the day so
Gottlieb actually were first founded in
1927 the important thing really in their
history is Humpty Dumpty and ey I talked
to him about haven't you done T but it
was a first pinball machine with
flippers which obviously has stayed till
today and that was 1947 that they
invented flippers and really changed the
face of pinball as I say it's still
being played like that today
more recently games that you'll see on
the market we haven't got any here to
even show you unfortunately but the
games are haunted house that's pretty
popular with with collectors that was
1982 that particular machine came out
and more recently in the 90s they had
some really good licenses so Super Mario
Brothers we have had a Superman I think
we've had a couple of Super Mario
Brothers come through here Waterworld
was 1995
we got Freddie and the Nightmare on Elm
Street was 1994 cueball wizard actually
really liked cueball wizard being a bit
of a pinball a bit of a pool found
myself we've had one of those I had a
couple of those come through here that
was 1992 but really Gottlieb's struggled
as technology advanced and it went
through solid state and then went into
DMD machines they redid advances and
those step changes really weakened their
