It was a pleasure to catch Roger at the IAAPA 2016 coin operated trade show and to conduct this interview. There are many more questions I could ask and would like to ask in the future to him.
Side note: It's actually kinda wild and amusing in a way that I was really the only "pinball" press at this huge event but I did it with pride hahaha.

greetings internet today we're here with
Roger sharp who is very well known in
pinball for saving pinball and many and
being a very good pinball player even
today uh he was schooling me on uh
dialed in uh doing shots I know I could
make after many hours of play many many
hours of play I did over 250 or 60,000
on that game 380 but we won't correct
you all right the bonus I I was uh I was
still mesmerized cuz high score is about
50 uh and I'm and I'm sixth in the state
so that puts things in perspective um so
uh Roger sharp first uh we are at aappa
2016 uh this year what's uh what are the
highlights of the show for you oh so far
um I think obviously you know we're
looking at pinball you know the fact
that you have a couple of Manufacturers
on the floor showing some games there's
some virtual pinball as well that's on
the floor but I think you know know by
and large this show tends to be more for
uh bigger attractions so a lot of VR
here today A lot of you know 4D 5D and
whatever else Inflatables Outdoors uh
you know you have a lot of Carnival
attractions so for me it's just kind of
taking it all and seeing either
thematically what people are doing and
what they're focused on um as well as uh
what types of attractions can we see in
the future when we either go to a theme
park or we go to a family attending
Center that may have a little bit more
space maybe they're going to do a little
bit something different with their laser
tag with their manag your golf so you
know it's this Confluence of all these
folks that are very much involved in uh
Amusement attractions and then you know
the video
games Walking Dead uh reissue or revisit
uh much improved with cruising uh you
have a new Daytona so there's there's
lots of a product and a great deal of it
with uh novelty Redemption games things
that are bigger Bolder better so uh it's
it's it's fun it's kind of re-energizing
every year when I come uh to this show
