AI and Art: Student Perspectives at Düsseldorf Art Academy
I'm fascinated by the impact of AI on art, so I decided to go straight to the source! I spent time at the Düsseldorf Art Academy talking with the next generation of artists about how they're using AI in their creative processes. Their insights are truly inspiring (and sometimes surprising!). Join me as we explore the challenges and opportunities of this new era in art. #AI #Art #DüsseldorfArtAcademy #ArtistInterview #futureofart
Many thanks to all the artists! I highly appreciate the time you dedicated to me and I hope you enjoy the results! Big thanks to Roman Plotnikov for editing and Pixabay for the music!

Hello my dear friends. So I'm here at
the Düsseldorf Rundgang, the first one in 2025.
And I'm here to find out what
young artists think about artificial
intelligence. Do they use
it as a tool? Do they use it as a co-thinker?
Do they use it as a source of inspiration?
What can we find out? Let's see!
So and in the very first room of the
very first floor and just the very first
artwork I saw was made with the help
of artificial intelligence tools. You can
see that there are portraits of artists
and some of them are historical but some
of them were generated with AI tools.
Please, introduce yourself and tell from
which Professor you graduated? I studied with
Rita McBride for six years. This year's Rundgang
I want just to make a graduation because
it is also her last Rundgang and in this
summer they were out. How do you work
with artificial intelligence in your
practice? I just try to reborn the old
artist in the
18th century or 17th century, you know. It's
very unfortunate in that time we had no camera
technique so I just
want to make something realistic with portraits and faces. We know every Idol has a unique name
and a face. If you have a face, you I can
look in your eyes and you have a name with
your language then you can maybe you could be an idol if you're doing something well like painting,
sculpture
and architecture. I just want to
try to make it as well as realistic.
But like how did you educate yourself
or did you use someone's help to work with
this technique? No, I don't use anyone
to help me. I just use the AI technique
and I just need to tell AI what
the information I know about this
artist. Just, like, Caravaggio. Caravaggio I
know did kill someone in just in a fight.
So I just give her call to take
that about a young man who always have a
full energy and fight with someone, so karate, should look like an angry young man. And just
like somewhere here like
James Ensor. James Ensor was a mask painter. The painting, the painting really like
with every mask and the figure with mask.
So I just called AI to pick a young man
with the mask and look at the camera.
So every single artist there is the some
information, information
I know about him. Maybe it's just one painting, maybe just one piece of his whole life world but I
still think he is a big influence
to me. So I think there is the important
process of how artist builds
himself in the whole life. You need
keeping studying for the future and then imagine,
studying for the past and imagine to the future.
Hey, can I ask you a question about your
art? Yeah! But mostly I'm interested
in what do you
think about artificial intelligence. Do you use it in your practice? Do you somehow see it as a
