Taz-Mania & The Invasion Song | All the Inaccuracies
Once more into the world of extreme cartoon pedantry, dear friends!
This one is one I've been getting requests for for quite a while, so I figured why not. The bit in the middle with WWII was a right faff to edit in HitFilm though...
So, hope you guys enjoy this one more than you did the last. Gotta keep this ride going after all...
ADDITIONAL INACCURACIES:
- I only just now (11th of February 2020) noticed that Taz's family's "dog" isn't even a dog, it's a turtle NAMED "dog". Turtles are also not native to Tasmania:
https://dpipwe.tas.gov.au/invasive-species/invasive-animals/invasive-freshwater-species/freshwater-turtles
- Allegedly there have been sightings of the Tasmanian Wolf in late 2019:

- Napoleon is depicted in The Invasion Song as being excessively short. he was actually quite tall for his time - thanks SlingshotWaffles ^^

TASMANIA
Welcome to our land, it's way under down under
The sky's always yellow in rain or shine
Considering these photographs of Tasmania, that's rather unlikely.
In fact, if the sky is yellow, you should probably run,
because that means there might be a rather nasty storm incoming.
Down in Tasmania, come to Tasmania
Toppy needs to be a god to spin
Like a Tasmanian devil in his closest kin
I'm pretty sure the spinning thing is unique to Taz and his family.
Come to Tasmania, come to Tasmania
Mums alive, why I datch no football or log?
Molly's all fired up for take place with the dog!
Dogs are not native to Tasmania.
Come to Tasmania, come to Tasmania!
Didgeridingo!
Neither are dingoes.
And Wendell T. Wolfe!
Though the Tasmanian wolf went extinct a while ago,
the show explicitly states that Wendell is the last of his kind,
so I'm gonna let that one slide.
Francis X. Bush lad is never on coup!
Bushwacker Bob and his mother called Mum!
Come to Stickley!
While Bennett's wallabies such as Thickley are found on Tasmania, koalas such as Constance aren't.
Neither are alligators.
There are feral pigs on Tasmania, but they're only temporary populations.
There are no kiwis anywhere in Australia. They're endemic to New Zealand. Incidentally,
they also do not look anything like that.
We've got bush rats!
Bush rats are also not found on Tasmania.
Can we not tell you on out?
Taz.
He put the Taz in Tasmania!
The Tasmanian Devil was named after the island, not the other way round.
Down in Tasmania, come to Tasmania!
We mean you!
Waaah!
Blah! Blah! Blah!
And now, onto the second song of this episode.
This is one that many of you have requested, so...
Here goes!
Several million years ago, a prehistoric man...
Homo sapiens, as they appear in this video, only began to appear around 200-300,000 years ago,
a far cry from several million years.
That's not the only way that countries grew, though.
For instance, some grew by way of settlement of uninhabited land,
though in some cases, such as Australia, whether or not an occupation is a settlement or an invasion is up for debate.
Just a heads up for the rest of the song, a lot of the inaccuracies in this one are to do with orders of events,
or events put together with large time gaps between them,
