We started studying the analysis of the end of times.
We saw that there were certain topics that were very important and fundamental.
And that if we understand these topics, we will be able to easily interpret everything else.
And that once we understand these subjects or these matters,
it'll be all the much easier to interpret correctly everything else.
And one of the most important subjects that we have to understand is Babylon.
And one of the most important...
subjects that we need to understand is that of Babylon.
Because Babylon in and of itself is the system of this world.
And this is precisely the system that rises up against everything and every time that God wants to do something.
So Babylon has been ever present ever since the foundation of Israel
seeking at all times to destroy and undo everything that God does.
But we see her manifesting after the flood as one of the first greatest cities to be erected.
So when we see in the book of Revelation, the great whore, Babylon,
Here we see the Spirit of Christ warning us and speaking of the things that were to come against Israel.
And the Spirit of Christ appears to John to prepare him for the things that were to come.
So we've already spoken about the Great Tribulation and how Israel was destroyed in the year 70 A.D.
Now here on this scene, at this moment, we see Jesus appearing to John to prepare him
and equip him for this tribulation that was soon to come.
He needed to prepare the church so that the judgment wouldn't fall upon them as well.
So he sends these letters to the seven churches.
And this was to be able to provide a way out for the church from the entire Babylonic system that had been erected.
The Lord was coming to establish the New Jerusalem, His church.
But first he needed to bring to nought and destroy the former ancient city of Jerusalem.
Now when Jesus Christ came down here to earth, he didn't come to Jerusalem as the one that was found during the times of David or Solomon.
He came to Jerusalem that was extremely defiled and corrupted due to the influence of Rome,
of Greece, and of Babylon.
And so the great city of Jerusalem had become defiled to such an extent that God even refers
to her as the great whore. So we're going to read here in the book of
Revelation.
Okay, 17.1 the second part says, Come and I will show you the judgment of the
great harlot who sits on many waters.
Verse 2 says of Revelation 17,
with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication,
and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
Now once again, when he mentions the word earth or land here,
it refers to a known territory.
And he describes this harlot as a woman that's voluptuous and she's aried and purple and
scarlet and adorned all over.
Now these are symbols that obviously represent ancient Jerusalem.
The gold that she's arrayed with obviously represents the gifts and the abilities that
God had adorned Jerusalem from the days of old.
Let's read here in Ezekiel 16.
I want you to turn with me please to the book of Ezekiel 16.
It says in verse 11.
I adorned you with ornaments and I put bracelets on your arms and a necklace on your neck.
Ezekiel 16 verse 11 says,
And I adorned you with ornaments, I put bracelets on your wrist and a chain on your neck.
I put jewels on your nose and earrings in your ears and a beautiful crown.
And thus you were adorned with gold and silver, and your clothing was a fine linen, silk,
