microsoft turns 50 and Xbox gets a
present happy Friday friends it's Friday
we are recording a little bit later
today some people were were bugging me
like where's the podcast which is always
a humbling experience never apologize or
whatever don't hesitate to reach out but
Microsoft held their 50th anniversary
special thing today at 12:30 p.m eastern
time and I wanted to wait to get through
that before recording this and so that
is why this is out just a little bit
later than usual so hopefully you had a
wonderful March we are now into April
weather where it's bringing spring
showers which is wonderful feeling but
anyways there is a lot to talk about
including the announcements from the
50th event so let's dive in so like I
said it is Microsoft's 50th birthday and
that's a big deal that's a big deal for
a tech company and so to celebrate Bill
Gates released their first copy of BASIC
the source code quite literally you can
print it out although knowing today you
could probably just throw it into
Copilot and it would translate it and do
all the OCR thing that you need and then
you could run it in uh whatever sort of
environment you could spin up to support
that Altter uh code functionality but
the big announcements from today or this
event this co-pilot event this week are
some things you could kind of expect and
some things maybe you didn't so the the
really the big thing in my opinion is
co-pilot vision which is exactly what it
sounds like it'll allow you to it'll see
your screen it think of it recall but in
real time and so some people are going
to freak out about this rightfully so it
can be turned off it's not even enabled
you can't even access it yet but it's
just something coming and one of the
scenarios they gave which is helpful is
that you could turn this thing on and
say hey how do I adjust the saturation
of a photo in Photoshop and if you've
never used Photoshop and this could be a
very helpful way to get onreen hints and
