ARTIST TALK Albrecht Schuch - Film Festival Cologne 2021
Das Filmfestival Cologne zeichnet Albrecht Schuch als „den derzeit wohl gefragtesten und erfolgreichsten deutschen Schauspieler“ mit dem International Actors Award aus. Im Artist Talk gab er im Dialog mit Regisseurin Hermine Huntgeburth offen und humorvoll Einblicke in sein Schaffen.
Können gute Schauspieler:innen alles spielen? Bei Albrecht Schuch ist man versucht zu sagen: Unbedingt! Die Bandbreite der Rollen, in denen der 1986 in Jena geborene Schuch in den letzten Jahren das deutsche Kino prägt, ist bemerkenswert: Als Alexander Humboldt machte er in „Die Vermessung der Welt“ neugierig, es folgten Auftritte als Malergatte in „Paula“ und geduldiger Sozialarbeiter in „Systemsprenger“. Dafür erhielt Schuch ebenso den Deutschen Filmpreis wie für „Berlin Alexanderplatz“, wo er den „Reinhold“ als hinterhältigen Menschenfänger spielt. Doch das war nur der Anfang: Schuch ist in diesem verkürzten Kinojahr gleich drei Mal zu sehen: Als an sich und den Verhältnissen zweifelnder Doktorand „Labude“ in „Fabian oder Der Gang vor die Hunde“, als Nazi-Scherge in der „Schachnovelle“ und auf dem Film Festival Cologne in „Lieber Thomas“. Hier schlüpft er mit vollem Körpereinsatz in die Haut des großen deutsch-deutschen Dichters und Filmemachers Thomas Brasch und lässt dessen Leidenschaften ebenso spürbar werden wie seine Abgründe. Der aufregendste, vielseitigste deutsche Schauspieler des Moments ist ohne Frage Albrecht Schuch.
