I'm going to paint the background first.
I'm going to paint it in a single color to give it a speedy look.
I'll paint it in a slightly different color.
I'm going to start like this.
I usually do the background work first, but I think it's better to start with the character than the background.
When I paint a character, I paint it with a little less opacity.
I'm going to reduce the background a little bit.
But now you can see the background.
So press Ctrl and click on the thumbnail.
Then you can see the color of the water.
In this state, go to the Background folder and select the Layer Mask.
You can mask the selection range. If you do that, even if you erase this, the mask will go in and it will not be transparent.
The reason why I do this is because I don't have to do this.
I don't know if it matters now, but later on,
I'm going to draw a lot of backgrounds and do something.
I'm going to put some effect on it.
When you do that, you don't have a background.
If you give it a blur effect or something else,
There's a white gap between the cuts.
It's either a blur or a weird effect.
That's why we're masking it so that the background is invisible.
I'll tell you again.
Press Ctrl and click on the pre-layer, the base layer.
That's where you choose.
In this state, in the background folder,
If you click on it, there's a layer mask, a selection mask.
Then it's transparent.
If you activate this and remove it,
The image is still there, but it's just not visible.
So it doesn't get blurry or anything.
It's just showing you an empty space.

And I use a lot of origami colors.
If you want to reduce the opacity of the color, select the color with the Creation Layer magic tool.
The same color is selected.

But even if the opacity is reduced and the number of colors is slightly over 10, the reference layer is recognized.
