Двое друзей, студенты-первокурсники, оказываются на войне в Афганистане. Рыжий погибает, а Мартын после тяжелого ранения теряет ногу. Вернувшись домой, он сталкивается с новым кошмаром: ампутированная нога «оживает», превращаясь в двойника, который принимает убийство как норму жизни. Этот двойник оказывается сильнее и настойчивее самого Мартынова, полностью меняя его реальность.
