Season 9 was arguably the biggest shake-up we've seen in Overwatch since the launch of Overwatch 2. But what was this patch, how did it directly effect the game, and what were the unintended consequences? In this video I will be breaking down the long-term effects of Season 9 both the intentional and the unintended.

but this is the real crime does anybody
notice something that's missing what who
where's the what's wrong with these
patch notes the real the real problem I
I got like four or five of these cuz I
was going to we were going to do like
cards with my uh my my siblings but we
never ended up doing it but
yeah it's been about 1 year since season
9 went out and it's been one of the most
controversial decisions in OverWatch
history and honestly the initial
reception was relatively positive and
while that has aged poorly over time I
do think it's worth taking a closer look
at what went well with season 9 what
didn't go so well with season 9 and look
at it from not just an emotionally
charged scope but actually put it under
the microscope and be like what was
actually good what was actually bad what
do we learn about that and while this
video is largely critical of many of the
decisions and many of the executions
especially of the season 99's and 10 I
do want to highlight the biggest most
positive thing from season 9 not the
heal passive but the idea of actually
trying and doing bigger and better
things you see OverWatch has a history
of being rather glacial slow and not
very creative in terms of trying new
things and since season 9 we've seen a
migration towards bigger ideas fresher
Concepts and just generally more content
and more new experiences for players and
while some of those things don't always
work out and I would like to see a
reversion of most of season 9 more on
that in the video I do want to
compliment Developers for being willing
to try exciting and new things and hope
that we see more of that in the future
that being said this is going to be my
my full hopefully not too biased
critique of season 9 The Good the Bad
and the Ugly and let me know what you
guys think in the comments all right
let's talk about season 9 I'm going to
have my tweet pulled up because I got a
