The Importance of Recycling in Vocabulary Teaching [Advancing Learning Webinar]
Vocabulary teaching can often appear relatively simple and straightforward, but unfortunately Vocabulary learning by the students can seem frustratingly slow and difficult. In this session, David Spencer investigates what it means to really ‘know’ a word, and what influence this has on how we should recycle and practise vocabulary in the classroom. We also explore how memory works and the important implications that this can have for the design of recycling activities that genuinely help students to boost their word power. We see a variety of practical classroom activities and strategies, the aims of which are to make vocabulary learning more effective, stimulating and enjoyable for our students.
