In the name of Allah, the most gracious, the most merciful.
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
I pray and submit to Him.
Upon our master Muhammad and upon his family and companions.
O Allah, teach us what is beneficial to us and benefit us with what You have taught us.
And increase us in knowledge and action that is acceptable, O Most Generous.
Show us the truth as it is and grant us its following.
and show us the falsehood as falsehood and grant us the reward of repentance.
We ask you for the knowledge of the truth.
and the fear of the scholars of you and beyond.
Freeing the souls from laziness.
Dear brothers, this series of lessons is about freeing the souls.
This is because freeing the souls from their shackles and removing them from their chains
This is a matter of great importance in building a good individual and a sound society.
If we want to build a good society, the start is with you.
You, who are free from your sins, and beautify them with your virtues, and make them equal, and make them good.
When the religion was revealed, and he wanted to reform the whole world,
The first thing he said to this person was, read.
Then he said to him, get up.
Then he said to him, pray.
But we want to fix the globe.
The fixation of the globe starts from you.
When you read, when you get up at night, when you pray to Allah, when you remember Allah.
When you free yourself from its shackles, when you free yourself from virtues and perfections, then this universe will be reformed.
Our topic today, in continuation of what was discussed in the previous lesson, is the liberation of the soul from laziness.
Laziness, as mentioned before, is to be overweighted by something.
It is against Islam, because Islam is work, because Islam is seriousness, because Islam is acceptance, because Islam is courage, and laziness is the opposite of Islam.
It is a moment, a country, a cold, a lack of movement, a lack of performance, a period of time in the soul that keeps you from doing your work.
I want to tell you about the harms of laziness, then we will talk about how to get rid of laziness.
As for the harm of laziness, it is a burden for religious interests.
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,
The heaviest prayer for hypocrites is the prayer of Fajr and the prayer of Isha.
And if they knew what was in them, they would not have come to them, even a grain.
Laziness overcomes great religious interests.
And Ibn Abbasid, may Allah be pleased with him, said about him,
The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said,
After he had taken a living from the Arabs, they became heavy on him.
So Allah kept the rain from them, and that was their punishment.
The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, called them to the fire, and they would get heavy,
they would get wet, they would get cold, they would be late,
and Allah punished them by keeping the rain from them.
Laziness is a violation of religious interests.
Now, how many of us are lazy to pray Taraweeh?
I am tired, my legs hurt, I have work, I want to sleep early, I have no money.
He is lazy and he neglects the rewards that came in the hadith of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him,
who did Ramadan faithfully and with accountability and was forgiven for what he had done in the past.
He neglected forgiveness.
Some people may not wake up on the night of Al-Qadr.
He has a reason, he has arguments, he has justifications for himself.
and he will be given a good night, better than a thousand months.
