You made me a goon, now you want to beat up the people who beat me up?
Take a marker, mark your QR code on it.
We had no choice, we had no money.
We had to run, not taking a salary, because there was no money.
I sit down once a year and audit my year, quite like a CA.
The world runs on money.
I don't work for the country, the world or the society.
How much is your salary?
I'm not even twice as much as them.
And it hasn't changed in the last 8 years.
I have said to myself, we are not worthy of going to the mountains.
This guy is smoking dope.
What do you see in an entrepreneur before investing?
I see hunger.
Are you feeling hungry like me?
No.
You don't?
No.
Forget what he said.
Hi everyone, I am Vishaan and this is the best and the biggest Limitless with Vishaan
podcast that I've done so far. With me, I have people that have always
loved me.
up to and learned so much from people who need no introduction. We have Ashneer with us, we have
Ashish Mohapatra of business, we have Sarthak whose deals have I've watched a lot for the last
two to three years and we have Sanjeevich Chandani sir, the OG of the whole Indian startup ecosystem
and today the perspective of this podcast is for a 20 year old who wants to start a business in
India, what is it that you would need to know everything from the idea to the
later stages of building a company.
So that's what we'll be talking about.
Let's get started.
I want to first talk about the idea and I want to ask from all of you people,
what do you think is the right approach to find an idea and what do you think
works in 2024?
So you would love to start with Ashneet.
I mean, I get ideas on different stages.
I got it a little late.
I got it after working on it.
I mean, I worked with Alvinder.
I was working with a company in Grofers and I had done a lot of payments before that.
So I understood the business side of things and payment.
And eventually it evolved into an idea that UPI or lending on UPI can be a big thing.
But I don't come from a business family and I somehow feel that the Indian education system doesn't prepare you for business.
I don't prepare for that.
So, some people get the idea in college.
I didn't have that type of thing.
I worked for 10-12 years and
I worked in other startups.
And I still think that's probably the best way.
I think more and more founders come out of other startups
rather than just sprouting anywhere.
