in January of 2015 I made my first
YouTube video I didn't know how to edit
or shoot videos I didn't even own a
camera I had to borrow cameras for the
first couple years of doing this stuff
and I also had terrible thumbnails back
then I made them all great and I thought
it was so cool for doing it like that
but I made videos because I like
technology and I wanted to share it with
you guys and for the first couple of
years I would make my videos during my
lunch breaks like I would go into my
office close the door hit the record
button and try to shoot something in the
middle of the day and I was very closi
about it I just didn't want my employees
knowing that I made internet videos and
because I was also quite time limited I
think I developed a very healthy
relationship with YouTube like I could
only make videos when I had the time to
I it never felt like it was some
obligatory job it was just a very side
thing for me and I I feel thankful for
it like at the time I was like man I
wish I had more time to do YouTube but
now in retrospect I'm like I'm really
thankful for that but more importantly
I'm so thankful for the audience that I
built over the years like first you guys
never made me feel like I needed to lace
my thumbnails and titles with crazy
clickbait and faces and stuff I remember
back in 2017 I had done a video of the
iPhone 10 unboxing and just for fun I
was over at L's Studio unbox therapy and
I thought hey you know I'm going to do a
parody thumbnail with a shocked facial
expression and I'll have Lou teach me
how to do it face towards the product
eyes towards the land okay
you what's with the mouth the mouth is
not something I do
okay what do you do mouth closed yeah
for sure no the mouth Jesus Christ how
do you do how do you express shock
without the mouth being closed your
eyes looks like you want to open your
mou I feel like I'm
